Community Energy Wales (CEW) want to put sustainable energy schemes at the heart of communities in Wales. Communities can become stronger, more resilient, and self-reliant by generating their own energy, using it efficiently, and directing the net income to regenerate their communities.
Community Energy Wales recently received funding from the Welsh Government to develop its membership offer and start recruiting new members. To become a more sustainable organisation we understand that you need to increase your membership significantly. Particularly you need to attract partner organisations and businesses to support Community Energy in Wales by becoming members and involving themselves in supporting Community Energy Projects in Wales.
We appointed Fresh Flow Direct Marketing to work with CEW to develop a marketing strategy for recruiting Members. This involved developing and building a database of relevant companies; identifying the key person responsible for these enquiries within these organisations. They conducted both telephone and email marketing, as well as offering a presence at our event to support us in generating sign up. Their work in this regard was first class and furthermore I was grateful for their strategic input which was most welcome at a time when I really needed some advice and support.
Fresh Flow devised a campaign to generate leads with interested organisations and businesses’ who are supportive of community energy in Wales and interesting in becoming members. The main thrust of the campaign was to generate interest from prospects in becoming a member of CEW and attending our annual conference.
Event Management is never easy and Fresh Flow ensured that we had almost 100 attendees on the day, which in turn developed a substantial increase in new revenue streams from general, community members and sponsorship opportunities. Fresh Flow even manned our stand during the day and their good work played a significant contribution to the overall success of the event.
